Eli and Kyle
We're looking to adopt a baby
Hello! We’re Kyle and Eli. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and learn more about us!
We’ll admit – we didn’t meet in the most exciting way: we both swiped right on an app, back in 2019, and matched with each other. Our first in-person meeting happened when Eli had car troubles and needed a ride to work. Kyle came to the rescue by volunteering to drive him across town for his work. Once the ice was broken, we were pretty much inseparable. A few months later, during a casual evening, Eli’s twin sister asked, “What are you guys?” In perfect sync, we looked at each other and replied, “I guess we’re dating,” and then chuckled a bit.
Early in our relationship, Kyle was deployed to Afghanistan, which meant we had to learn how to support a long-distance relationship. It wasn’t always easy, but we made it work. When we were finally reunited, our relationship was stronger than ever. Not long after Kyle returned, we bought our first house and later welcomed our very well-behaved dog, Lucy. After a few wonderful years of living together, we got engaged and married one another in 2023.
As a gay couple, we’ve always known that having biological children wasn’t in the cards for us. Since the beginning, we’ve talked about adoption as the path we wanted to take. After a lot of love and preparation, we’re ready to make our dream of becoming parents a reality, and we can’t wait to give our whole hearts to a child.
We’re so grateful and honored that you’re taking a moment to consider us on this journey.
